Description
Obverse: Head of the nymph Histiaia right, her hair rolled and bound up with a vine wreath, wearing an earring with a pendant in the form of a vine leaf, and a pearl necklace.
Reverse: The nymph Histiaia seated right on the stern of a galley, holding stylis with her left hand and resting her right on the deck behind her; along the outside of her right arm, in small letters, ΙΣΤΙΑΙΑ.
Extremely rare, the fourth known example. Toned and clear. Nearly very fine.
